Our training and development
Our comprehensive training and qualifications programme will give you the tools and support you need to get even better at what you do and take your career to the next level.
In the classroom, online and on the job
Our highly-skilled trainers deliver face-to-face courses in everything you’ll need to succeed in your role. The Anchor Academy website gives you access to hundreds of e-learning modules anytime and on any device. And best of all, you’ll be surrounded by talented and friendly colleagues who’ll support you and help you to learn.
None of our entry-level roles require that you have qualifications or previous experience of care or housing. That’s because we offer free training courses that will earn you National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
In our care homes, not only will NVQs take your skills and potential to the next level, but once you’ve reached level two, we’ll also increase your wages and benefits.
Leaders who teach and learn
All our managers are responsible for engaging, motivating and leading their teams. A big part of that is making sure their people get the training, coaching and development they need.
And if you join us as a manager, you’ll get access to our management development programme. A comprehensive suite of training, qualifications and resources designed to make you a brilliant leader.
Regular development conversations
Everyone at Anchor has regular personal development meetings with their manager. These are great opportunities to keep track of what you’re doing well, where you need to develop and what your next steps are.
Turn care into a career
Care and housing for older people is our passion. But it’s also our business.
To keep that business growing, we’ll invest in you with training, qualifications and opportunities to show us what you’re capable of. In return, we’ll expect you to make the most of those opportunities and take your career forwards.
Our Career Framework makes it easy to see what the next step is and how to get there. And by progressing and taking on more senior roles, you’ll be able have an even bigger positive impact on the lives of older people.
