Our Loving Later Life Awards recognise those residents who make a real difference at their Anchor location.
Applications for 2024 are now closed
The awards are open to any resident and we welcome nominations from fellow residents, colleagues, friends and family and award winners will receive £100 of gift vouchers. So, if you know someone who makes a difference where they live make sure you nominate them for one of the nine awards below.
The greatest grandparent(s)
Many of us have fond memories of our grandparents. Do you know someone who is a grandparent or a great-grandparent and goes above and beyond for their family?
‘Paw ‘some pet
We know that pets provide companionship, comfort and love, and offer a way of making contact with others. Tell us all about your animal companions and why they make a difference to your life.
Neighbour like no other
They say everyone needs good neighbours. Do you know someone who makes a difference and goes the extra mile to help their neighbours?
Digital dynamo
Technology is constantly changing and it can be difficult to keep up. This award recognises a resident who takes technological advances in their stride and uses technology to improve their life and the lives of others.
Fabulous fundraiser
This award is for a resident who has held fundraising events in their local communities to support those in need, charities, and worldwide events.
Blooming Marvellous Gardener - Best Fruit & Veg
Growing your own fruit and vegetables can be a hobby but also supplies with nutritious food throughout the year. Share your home grown achievements with us, wonky veg is accepted!
Inclusive Ambassador
Recognising residents who actively promote a supportive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all residents or has improved their knowledge of diversity and inclusion to be more understanding and act as an advocate to support or educate others.
Knowledge Seeker
Recognising those residents who aspire to continue their ongoing personal development to learn new skills and talents and actively shares them to support others.
Sustainability Champion
Do you know someone who has taken a sustainable approach to gardening this year? Is their garden bee-friendly, have they been exploring biodiversity or rewilding and reusing materials? This award recognises those who are trying to make a positive impact on the environment.

Winners and those shortlisted will be required to feature in their local newspaper, on the Anchor websites and on social media (e.g. Facebook, X etc.).
